Our preschool room takes children from three years old through to the year before they start school. The program follows the Early Years Learning Framework, and in practice that means each week is planned around what the children are actually interested in rather than a fixed curriculum handed down from above. If a group becomes fascinated by insects after finding a beetle in the garden, that becomes a fortnight of measuring, drawing, reading and questions.
Educators document each child’s progress against the five EYLF learning outcomes and share it with families, so you can see how your child is tracking rather than guessing. Ask for that documentation at any point — it is a core requirement of the framework, not an optional extra.
School readiness gets talked about a lot and defined rarely. For us it covers four things: children who can separate from a parent without distress, who can look after their own belongings and toileting, who can sit with a group and follow a two-step instruction, and who have the early literacy and numeracy foundations to make sense of a classroom. Letter recognition and counting matter, but they are the easiest part. The self-regulation is what makes the difference in a child’s first term.
In the year before school we add structured small-group work, more writing and name-recognition practice, and gradual changes to routine so that a school-style day feels familiar rather than alarming. Children who move on to local schools including Castle Hill Public, Samuel Gilbert and Oakhill Drive arrive having already practised the shape of a school day.
We are open 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, from our heritage-listed home in Castle Hill. Our onsite chef cooks morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea fresh each day, so nothing needs to be packed beyond a hat and a spare change of clothes. We are CCS-approved — most families pay considerably less than the headline fee, and our Child Care Subsidy guide for NSW families walks through how it is calculated.
Preschool places are limited by the educator-to-child ratios set under the National Quality Framework, so the room fills well ahead of the school year. If you are looking at a start date in the next twelve months, it is worth booking a tour early. Families also compare us with our childcare Croydon service in the Inner West, which runs the same program.

We bring learning to life with engaging activities, real-world connections, and a focus on making every moment exciting.
